Today, I want to share the deeply personal and urgent story of Angie Jones, a beloved member of our community and someone who has always been resilient in the face of tremendous adversity. Recently, Angie has been going through an unimaginable series of health, financial, and emotional challenges—challenges that have overwhelmed her in ways she never anticipated.

Angie has been fighting unexplained, severe health issues for years. Just after her brain surgery, she reached a point where she realized she can no longer handle everything on her own. Her recent messages reveal her despair: feeling exhausted, frightened, and overwhelmed by mounting debts, the threat of losing her home, and the insurmountable cost of ongoing medical care. She’s battling suspected fibromyalgia, herniated discs, chronic pain, and the necessity of expensive imaging to monitor potential cancer. Her latest MRI scans are looming, but insurance and finances threaten to stop her before she can get the care she needs.

In her own words, Angie shared that she’s exhausted, stating, “I want to cancel the epidural but might need that proof for what qualifies anything,” and “I know all the things I need to try and apply for assistance, but it’s so hard when I feel like I’m losing everything I worked for.” She’s at a breaking point, having lost her job, her health insurance, and facing the very real possibility of losing her home. She’s battling severe pain, mental health struggles, and the crushing weight of debt—credit card bills, medical bills, and the costs of survival, all piling up rapidly.

Despite her courage, she admits how hard it is to reach out and ask for help, which is why we are doing this for her—to show her she is not alone. Angie is a vital part of our community and our family. Her struggle is a reminder of how fragile health and stability can be, especially when compounded by systemic barriers and personal battles.
