On May 11, 2020, Nader M. Ibrahim unexpectedly passed away at 59 years young. One day he is healthy and smiling and laughing, and the next he is coughing up blood, in a coma, and suddenly he is gone. He leaves behind his grieving wife, a cancer survivor who is still receiving treatment, and two young daughters in Texas, and his son in California, an active member of the Navy who was waiting to be deployed for 10 months until he received the sudden and shocking news. No one was prepared for this. Add to that the current pandemic, and no one was able to be by his side for his last moments.
Nader was the sole breadwinner of the family, taking care of his wife and kids, working two jobs everyday to make ends meet. His son is married and has three young children, one of which had to get a heart transplant when he was a baby. While Nader’s son was given sometime to grieve, he is being deployed at the end of the week. His grandchildren will never get to know their grandfather the way they should have. Nader has supported his wife through her medical treatment, and now, without their husband and father, the family is devastated and facing an uncertain future. With medical bills, funeral expenses, and other expenses continuing to mount, and their main support system suddenly gone, we are hoping to provide the family with some cushion so that they can pick up the pieces and try to move on without worrying about the basics. As a community, let us show support for this beautiful family that always gave what they can. The family has been through a lot throughout the years, but they have always over came the obstacles because of Nader’s support and him being the backbone of the family. This is different. He is not here to provide the support the family needs. We are asking to support however you can, and please pray for him and the family.
