Hi everyone …a dear friend of ours is going through an incredibly difficult time, and we’re asking for your support on her behalf.

Her father has been in critical condition in Venezuela. While his situation remains delicate, he has recently been discharged from the hospital and is now continuing a long and fragile recovery at home. This is a step forward but the road ahead is still uncertain.

The reality is that Venezuela is facing a severe healthcare crisis, where the system has been deeply impacted by years of economic hardship. Hospitals often lack basic medical supplies, medications, and proper care, making it extremely difficult for patients to receive the treatment they urgently need.

Because of this, families are often left with only one option: private healthcare, which is extremely expensive but can mean the difference between life and death.

All medical expenses must be paid in U.S. dollars, adding an even heavier burden on families already facing unimaginable stress.

During his hospitalization, the costs quickly became overwhelming. Between hospital bills, tests, medications, and ongoing care, the financial pressure continues to grow as he fights to recover.

There is also a strong possibility that he will require additional treatments or even surgeries, depending on how his condition evolves.

With the support of friends, my friend was able to travel and be by her father’s side, something that means everything during this critical time. But while she is there supporting him emotionally, the financial strain on the family remains immense.

Her parents are kind, generous people who have always been there for others. Now, they need us.
