Please help Hilary! After a 12-year battle of worsening and differing health issues, seeing physicians in four states, and being improperly diagnosed with re-occuring meningitis, celiac disease, intractable migranes, and (possible) lupus, Hilary was finally properly diagnosed with Chronic Late Stage Lyme Disease.
For Hilary this meant moving (temporarily) to California for treatment. Prior to this, she was an active and athletic wife, mother, teacher and friend. She misses her family, friends, her teaching job, her students, and her pets. Following her move to California, she lost her job, and with that, the family's health and short term disability insurance. She tried to keep her job, but the school district would not allow a longer-term leave of absence for her to return to her job next school year.
Since January 11, 2017, Hilary has been living in San Diego with her brother and his family. Her sister-in-law is her full-time care giver. Her life consists of going to and from appointments all over San Diego, and she periodically travels to Las Vegas for oxygen bath treatments that are only available there. She has an amazing doctor who is on the cutting edge of the understanding and treatment of Lyme Disease. His goal is to get her in remission within six to 12 months, but we believe God is healing her completely. Her goal is to learn all she can about Lyme Disease and its treatment, and share with those who need this information, for we are learning that the need is great. In the meantime, she has no source of income, no health insurance, and her husband's printing business is struggling to keep up with the increasing treatment costs. Treatment costs, drugs, and supplements for the next 30 days are estimated to be $10,000. Please consider funding Hilary as she struggles to beat Lyme.
Please be aware that she and her husband are planning to go, and are praying that she can go, to Europe for a vacation which was booked and paid for about a year ago. We don't want you thinking that she is taking these funds for her trip - funds received will be only used for fighting her Lyme Disease. Additionally, while in Europe, she will be receiving treatments from the original oxygen bath treatment provider in Budapest.
