Girl Needs Money For School

I have this friend that is being harassed by her parents, she moved out, her parents have control of her bank account so the money that child services gives her from foster care, her parents take half and leave enough for her to pay rent and a bit of food. She's going away for school about 4 hours north to get away from it all and is in need of a laptop. Her program suggested a MacBook, however she said she doesn't need an expensive computer at all, she'd be happy with anything that works... She's worked so hard to have enough money for tuition, she has paid it all off for the year, she has residence of $7000, and school supplies to cover. She doesn't know I'm putting this together for her, she's struggling and needs help. She's so smart, and wants to become a police officer in order to help kids like her and to get them out of bad situations..

She tried getting emancipated, but for some reason she couldn't, she doesn't want to burden anyone with details and tries to stay positive and ignore all the bad around her... OSAP won't give her too much because her father makes enough.

She tried apply for a loan and hasn't heard back yet, she bought paper notebooks and pens and said she'll just have to write all her notes down and hope that someone will lend her a computer for projects. She needs something to give her a push...

Please help out this amazing girl and help her become a police officer so she can stop abusive relationships within families. I, like most, have a very hard time putting my hand out and asking for things. But I beg of you all to think of what you share as an investment. I intend to give these funds, and this education, to her so she may study the ways in which our communities can create an equitable and tolerant world.

I didn't want to post her picture, she doesn't know I'm trying to raise money for her, she's really proud and says she can't rely on anyone for help anymore, I want to restore her faith in people
