Please Help Harlow Rebuild his Life
Donation protected
My brother, Harlow Newton, recently lost nearly everything he owns in the recent tropical storm Nate in Costa Rica. A massive flash flood swept away his home and most of his business infrastructure, including Buenaventura's river-lodge, the cabins, bridge, workshop, and tool shed. Harlow lost all of his personal belongings, including clothes, tools, ATV, and literally everything he had to operate Buenaventura Eco-Adventure Lodge. He is also currently without his main source of income due to having to suddenly close his business for at least 6 months while basic infrastructure is rebuilt.
In addition, great investments had recently been made in a commercial kitchen, beds/bedding, decorations and equipment to produce his budding organic product lines - Vida Blue Clay and Buenaventura Chocolate products. With outstanding loans taken out to make these improvements, this could not have happened at a worst time.
Please help Harlow rebuild his life and get back on his feet and begin the process of recovery and rebuilding. He has many needs - a place to live, clothes, tools and and other essentials. He hopes to reopen Buenaventura Eco-Adventure Lodge - a long-time vision in action that seeks to protect the rainforest and help people of all walks of life be nourished and healed in nature.
Those of you who have been touched by Harlow's work, please leave a comment with your testimonial. These stories will go a long way to give him encouragement and strength as he will see the impact he has already had on so many and that his work is important.
en comunidad,
Kimberly Newton, Harlow's sister
