John "Gibby" Gibbons is a beloved friend and coworker to many folks from many circles. This good sport, hard worker, and beloved dude is in need to a "little help from his friends" as he faces some medical costs and loss of work.

Gibby has 3 broken ribs and has been ordered to rest to allow recovery which limits his ability to work. But the hospital visit for the ribs revealed more serious complications and resulted in a 4 day stay and life changing realizations...

"I guess the incident with my ribs was a blessing in disguise, about a week after my rib injury I noticed swelling in my feet and lower legs, I just brushed it off and figured it was just a side effect of the meds I was on.

A few days later the pain became to much to bear, so I went to the hospital. After 6 days, tons of medication and numerous tests, the diagnoses was that my heart isn't working the way it should ( Stage 1 heart failure ) sounds scary, but the doctors think they caught it in time. With proper medication and better life choices. (Sodium is the devil) I should have many years of being grumpy to look forward to.
