Help David get to Hive Global

Donation protected

You know what the world needs? More young entrepreneurs developing their global leadership skills.

I can't believe it.

I am immensely thankful to have been accepted to a Global Leaders Program, Hive!

Hive will help take my leadership skills to a whole new level so I can help give back to our society.

But I know I can’t do it myself.  I need you.  I need your support because to get into this program, I have to raise $3,000 in 7 days. Luckily the Hive has awarded me a $750 scholarship, and as a student I have about $750 saved up so . . .

I just need another $1,500 to make the Hive conference in San Francisco feasible.

The money will be used to cover the rest of tuition, travel expenses, housing, and food. (Also accepting a couch to crash on in San Francisco!)

If we can do that -- that’s would be incredible and a testament of how much we can accomplish together as a collective.

PLEASE HELP ME REACH MY GOAL BY BACKING THE CAMPAIGN AT $25, $50, or a $100 TODAY.

But first, let me reintroduce meslef, and update you on what I have been up to!

I’m David Mansor. We have probably met along my travels. Maybe we were both Greeks at SUNY Potsdam or played rugby together. Perhaps we  have worked together on a project before or go way back to my days in the group home. One way or another, you know me. And I know you.

It’s been hard to keep in touch; I know. Luckily it is becoming easier every day! I hope you will follow my adventure at Hive, and journey of growth. Please feel free to add me on Instagram @davidmansor or snapchat @lawyerboy93 to keep in touch!

Throughout my life traveling has allowed me to see how far we have come as a society in the in last few decades, and how far we have go in the next fifty years to integrate our world. Some places like Johanasburg, South Africa do not have stable electricty and shortages occur frequently. In China I was surprised to see strict limitations on the access to information, and a strong media bias. Both of these issues, appear to have nothing in common yet, they are both part of challenges the human race must address as we become a more globalized community.

I would be willing to bet you could sympathize with the challenges associated with the power going out, even here in the United States. Luckily entrepreneurs have created flashlights, generators, hand crank radios lol, and countless other products as entrepreneurial solutions to overcome the challenges. In the states we are fortunate enough to have access to these, but aborad it beocme smroe difficult when cultural issues, and capital flow problems complicate things. I hope to one day contribute to entrepreneurial solutions that better the world, and Hive will be a great way further understand the  macro issues humanity faces, and the needs of the global community.

A lot has changed for me in the last three years, I have been up to a lot. I graduated undergrad with a BA in Speech Communication Rhetoric and Politics. While attending SUNY Potsdam, I realized how much impact one individual can have on our society.
For those that don’t know my senior year, I felt compelled to speak out against the injustices students faced originating from the Office of Student Conduct. A few months, nearly a thousand signatures, and countless meetings with faculty and administration staff the campaign was highly successful, and led to a complete restructuring of that office.

Today in hopes to continue making a positive impact I am happy to report I attend the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Law. I will be pursuing a JD/MBA with a focus on Entrepreneurship! I believe that the business world can make a huge difference through sustainable entrepreneurship. Recently I have been accepted as an Adams Apprentice at the UNC Kenan-Flager School of Business. This apprenticeship is a great start and will give me the local support network to accomplish my hopes and dreams. However, Global problems need a global network of like minded indiciudals to come together to solve problems creatively.

In order to make a huge impact I need to: (1) learn the necessary knowledge; (2) develop a comprehensive strategy; and (3) I need to execute.  Currently, I am only in the first stage of this process, but firmly believe that I will continue to make a meaningful impact in the world. Your contribution to this campaign will be a testament that you believe I can make a positive impact!

The HIVE Program will help me to complete phase one.

I will be very fortunate to attend the Hive Global Leaders Conference. The conference brings together CEOs, leaders, innovators, scholars, and entrepreneurs from over 100 countries dedicated to creating a better world. I feel honored to have been selected to attend and represent the University of North Carolina School of Law. If I have the opportunity to attend the event I will be in the company of students that attend Harvard, Stanford, UCLA, Cornell, and other amazing schools.

Over 50% of the attendees are from outside the United States by design and over half are CEOs, Founders, Managing Directors, Executive Directors, or Presidents of their organizations. Each attendee has a shared passion for creating a better world.

At Hive each day is full of impact. Day 1 is focused on what’s going on in the world. Day 2 is focused on what’s going on in your life. Day 3 is focused on what’s going on in your work–and how to use your work to make a scalable positive impact.

I will have the opportunity to reimagine the future of society, reflect on my life’s purpose, create an action plan for the next phase of my life, implement daily habits that will help me make a bigger impact, and join a committed network of mission-driven leaders who can help me achieve my goal.

A unique situation:

For the past year, I have been studying sustainable entrepreneurship as a vehicle to make a massive impact. My goal is to become economically self-sufficient before I graduate law school, so I can focus my legal and entrepreneurial skills on making a colossal impact on the world. Even though I have a lot going on I took a chance, got accepted to Hive, and crossed my fingers thinking: "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can." So after acceptance, I RSVPd and booked my flight in hopes of making it work. I have already had to reschedule my flights to accommodate law school finals, and fly out one hour after my last test.

However, optimism has faded and reality has hit. Even with a scholarship, a large chunk of my expenses are not covered.  If I can't raise the money, I might have to back out of the conference (Or sneak in – just kidding, kinda).  I'm squirming at the thought of it, I would rather do 1,000 push-ups or spend winter in Antarctica, before retracting my acceptance.

If my goal is accomplished I will post a video shortly after of me doing 1,000 push-ups so I can stay true to my word.
