It is not easy for me to ask for this help, but a couple friends suggested this.  I’m looking for your help so that I can get a much needed surgery and get back to work.  I tore my ACL about a year ago, but have been unable to get the surgery as I can’t afford the time away from work.  

I’m a janitor, and I work two back-to-back full time jobs to support my two children and mom.  My jobs require me to be on my feet all day, which has become more and more difficult and painful.  Unfortunately, disability insurance does not provide enough to cover living expenses for the couple months I need to take for surgery and recovery.

I would be most gracious for your help, so that I can get back to working and taking care of my family.
