Gene's Road to Recovery

One year ago today, on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, our beloved family member Gene Ballarin, was caught a horrific multi-vehicle accident. Gene was pulled from the wreck with the jaws of life and medevac’d to the local trauma center where he was placed in a medically-induced coma for nearly two weeks.

In total, he sustained over a dozen near-fatal injuries including broken ribs, a liver laceration, shattered hipbone, broken pelvis and most seriously, a traumatic brain injury.  Since the accident Gene has endured three brain surgeries, each successively more life-threatening than the last. As the pictures show, it is a true miracle Gene is alive!

Currently, Gene is incapable of working.  With their income literally cut in half his wife Jacqueline has taken on what extra work she can while serving as his primary caregiver. The physical and emotional stress has been overwhelming, but with the support and prayers form so many, they have made it through to this point.

Now, one year later, with their savings depleted and an impending hip replacement surgery happening in just weeks, Gene & Jacqueline need your help to cope with the financial burden caused by this ongoing crisis and to fund additional rehabilitation care.  Any support you can give, and prayers that you can send, is appreciated from the bottom of our hearts.
