Help Gage Stand Tall

Donation protected
As some of you know, Gage was involved in a tragic accident on an ATV almost 5 years ago that left him paralyzed.  Since then he has done EVERYTHING that he can to attempt to walk again.  From physical therapy, to stem cell transplants, etc. just so we can have a fighting chance at STANDING TALL again!  He has pushed himself harder than anyone I know.

Now, he needs our help!!  He wants to be able to do MORE things on his own with a STAND UP WHEELCHAIR!  This will help with the safety of him being able to see out a peep-hole to see who is at his front door, use the upper cabinets in the kitchen and closets, to be able to safely cook in the kitchen and work on his truck.

He has exhausted over 1 year of an insurance battle and appeal after appeal for a standing wheelchair, he has lost his battle and they will not pay for this to improve his quality of life.  He has plans to take out a loan to cover the cost, but do not know if he will be approved for all of it.  The wheelchair costs about $15,000.  We all know that isn't something that we can just pull out of our back pocket and pay for.

He has learned how to do it ALL on his own and never wanted to ask for help.  I know that you all love and respect Gage for his triumphs and tribulations, I hope that you can find it in your heart to make a small donation to this cause.

Background: Gage was paralyzed on May 6, 2012.  Surgery to repair C6/7 in his spinal cord; classifying him as a quadriplegic .  He should NOT have the ability to even use his arms but thank God that he is able to.
He had to learn everything over again, like he was a child.  To sit up, move himself from the wheelchair to the couch, to the bathroom, etc.  His greatest accomplishments were moving out to learn to do EVERYTHING on his own.  He was driving within 1 year of the accident.  He was at therapy every day.  Within 2 years, he went back to work at Prevost bus company in a different position (since being a mechanic wasn't a possiblity). Since then, he has bought a condo and gets around as best he could.  He then fought the insurance company for more than a year to have them pay for a stimulation bike to have in his home so he could continue his therapy; which after many appeals, was approved.
He is in a legal battle with his condo association to make the entrance to his home in accordance with Americans with Disabilities Act, but is not having an easy fight with them.
Now, he is hoping a stand up wheelchair would give him the FULL mobility he needs to do every day tasks.
Every dollar counts and it would be extremely appreciated by him if you could help him offset some of the cost.

Thank you,
Stacey
