Newest update: Unfortunaly Alma's tumour couldn't be removed, thank you all for your support, all the funds will be going towards her CT scan. I will spend one last night with her forever grateful for other people's generosity to help me save my baby. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart
Update: After an ultrasound Alma has a tumour on her adrenaline gland, she has been sent for a CT scan which has cost $1500, if we can get this tumour removed it'll cost $10,000 for the surgery and has a 50/50 survival rate. I have raised the goal to $10,000 until I know if she can have her tumour removed, if not I'll bring the goal back down to $1,500 so I can pay for the CT scan.
Alma is a beautiful 14 year old Maltese terrier who has been my best friend since I was 8 years old, she has always been in good health until yesterday on the 21/4/18 she was very ill. The vets told me they weren't sure if she was going to make it.
She is anemic, there's something wrong with her liver too but the vets have updated me that there's fluid leaking and a lump, whether it's a tumour or a cancer or just a cyst I'm not sure yet.
I've spent every last dollar I have on the local vet ($500) and the emergency vet ($2000) and am out of money for the next step in her recovery.
Any donation helps out so much, I know vet pay is an option but they charge very large commission I won't be able to pay off for a long time. I know the next step would be surgery and that would be more than $1000 but if I achieve anywhere near this goal I will be so grateful and it will go a long way.
