Hey guys, this is Jessica, Mick, Aaron, and Matt. The owners of Freedom Tattoo.

It is with a heavy heart that we must inform all of you that Freedom Tattoo will be closed until further notice.

The city of Fort Wayne is currently undergoing an arson investigation which took place at our business early Friday morning. We cannot give out many details at this time, as it is an ongoing investigation. As much as we're concerned about the "why" and the "who" we're more concerned about the future of our once beautiful studio.

All of us here are devastated. Our livelihood is put on pause. We are going to have to rebuild completely from the ground up. Someone broke through our beautiful hand-painted door and lit our shop on fire. We found out very quickly, that was not the least of the issues we would be having. Outside of the fire damage, the extensive water damage from the sprinkler system activating has ruined every inch of the shop. Our flooring, ceiling, hand-painted flash, our machines, needles, tubes, and the rest of our equipment used to make beautiful tattoos is gone. We've lost everything.

The one thing we know we haven't lost is this generous and compassionate community. We are humbly asking for all of your support through this difficult time, we are going to need it now more than ever before. Donations help, sharing helps, and spreading the word helps. If you or anyone you may know has information regarding this incident, please contact any of us at Freedom directly, or contact the local authorities. All donations will go toward rebuilding costs, replacing all of our equipment, damages to the inside and outside of our business, and replacing all of the artwork that was destroyed.
