Rowan was born on April 26 at 23 weeks and 5 days gestation. He weighed 1 pound 9.2 ounces. Rowan spent the first three weeks of his life in the NICU at Stormont Vail in Topeka before being transported to Children's Mercy in Kansas City for possible surgical needs. Rowan has a long medical journey ahead of him before he will able to come home, which will hopefully be in August.
John and I are not the type of people that typically ask for help. We prefer to roll up our sleeves and do the work that needs to be done in order to fulfill our needs. However, with 100+ potential days in the hospital, we know that the medical bills will accumulate quickly. We have had a lot of people ask how they can help us and helping with medical expenses would be the best way right now.
