Help for my 14 Year Old Daughter
Donation protected
I NEED HELP FOR MY 14 YR. OLD DAUGHTER, KAYLA!. Last year she was a normal teen with lots of expectations for her life, which none included lots of pain, prodding and poking, and numerous tests at Childrens Hospital PA. She has been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. She has good days, but lots of bad days. She must undergo a long day at CHOP every 5-6 weeks for an infusion along with visits to doctors in between. As a mom, I would gladly change places with her to spare her the pain and allow her to concentrate on her school work and just having fun being a teenager. Instead, I watch my daughter suffer and can't do anything to make her life easier. Not only is it physically, and emotionally draining, but out of control financially. Since she was diagnosed last summer we have spent well over $3,000 Our yearly deductible is $6,000 out of pocket (per calendar year) . We haven't even made a small dent in last year's bills and now another $6,000 deductable has to be met . I take care of her medication, but to pay for these MRIs , bloodwork, MRE's and all the various doctors working on her case is out of my means.
And the bills are adding up. I am a proud person, but this is my daughter, and she comes first! I am not asking for anyone to donate a large sum of money, but if everyone could donate $1 it would mount up quickly and I can at least pay some on this year's bills. So, please find it in your heart to help us be able to help Kayla. Presently there isn't a cure for this disease, so this will be her life until they do! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you all in advance.
