I am friends with the family I am seeking to help. We are from a suburb of Denver, our families know each other through our public school, attended by children in both families.
We humbly ask for healing thoughts and prayers and if you are in a position, monetary help for this family of 7.
18 year old Jaden was contacted by a boy with whom he played sports and knew from school, and tricked into getting into a stolen car and going out to hang out. Jaden was taken to a park where 7 other individuals proceeded to attack and beat him. What followed was a horrible crime.

While three minor siblings and his parents slept in their family home, Jaden was held at gunpoint outside in a stolen car, bleeding. This gang of people robbed his family of everything they had of monetary value, while repeatedly threatening to kill Jaden and his entire family.
These criminals posted what they were doing on Snap Chat and social media, bragging. These criminals took Jaden, shot a hole in his calf, drove around threatening and beating him, and eventually stopped the car on the highway, where Jaden feared the worst. Thankfully, Jaden had the presence of mind, to get away, run, and escape by jumping over a barrier. He was able make his way down to a motel for help. The perpetrators took off, leaving Jaden to die. Later that morning a seventeen year old boy, after posting more on social media, went to school where he was arrested. Currently, all assailants remain in the Jefferson County Jail.
Jaden has a shattered eye socket, a broken nose, abrasions on his head, face and most of his body. He needs extensive work on his teeth. He is waiting for his calf to heal before beginning physical therapy.
Jaden was making pizzas, and planning for school. He can't make pizzas, as the job requires long periods of standing and school has to wait.
Jaden was to start a welding program the Monday after this crime was perpetrated on him. He has had to defer and will take this course as soon as he is able. He is a baseball umpire and had plans to volunteer to go with his minor brother's team to Cooperstown in June as their umpire. This is in question now.
Jaden awaits further evaluation about his eye and whether he will need further medical intervention. He will heal. We pray for emotional healing also.
Jaden's mother provides lunches at the school where her 2 youngest attend. She provides lunches to those who can pay, and subsidizes those who cannot afford to pay. Jaden's youngest sibling was just hospitalized with acute asthma. She is recovering at home now, thankfully. This family has another child, age 14 on the autism spectrum who is vulnerable to possible cuts with the school district funding. The link to sign:

Through Family Promise Jaden used to go with his mom monthly to stay overnight at churches helping host homeless families . He also has volunteered at Sacred Heart House of Denver, serving dinner to the residents. He and his family have volunteered at Broncos football games to raise money for an arts school.
This is a family who has given and now we can give back.
What the family needs:
The stress has been tremendous. All credit and business credit had to be suspended, with a child just out of the hospital, and the other two minor kids home ill from school, it is apparent how stressful something like this is. This has been a tremendous strain.
Because of the court case, there are many ripple effects. Please send prayers, healing thoughts, and if you are so moved,
we are raising funds for Jaden's Mom, Lesley, to pay the following
1. the medical deductible, this will use over half of the money
2. ongoing, and extensive dental care for Jaden, we think we may have a donor for this, more later.
3. any copays or medical bills not covered by insurance. Covering the immediate needs of the family as they regain their footing, to include the property detroyed by the car fire, and a lost phone, and electronics that cannot be recovered.
4. Should there be any remaining funds, these will be used towards educational expenses for Jaden to continue his learning.
We are trying to raise an initial amount of $10,000 in order to pay for the medical bills and make sure Jaden can continue his education.
