Travis Hill's Medical Fund

Travis Hill is a husband, provider, brother, son, hard-worker, and loving father of four awesome kids! He's my brother in law and I have personally known Travis for more than 20 years. Everyone who knows Travis will agree that he is an active, fun-loving guy who most often wears a smile. He and his family are active in working with local youth through church and community programs including the Boy Scouts of America. Recently though, Travis has become the victim of debilitating back pain that makes participating in and enjoying even basic every-day activities, including playing with his kids, difficult if not impossible.

13 Years ago Travis was smashed under 2500 lbs of flagstone leaving him with constant lower back pain. He and his family have done everything they can to treat this pain. Recently though, the pain has become unbearable.  Every-day activities like standing, bending over to tie shoes, and even sitting for more than a few minutes are excruciating. At home he lies in bed or flat on the floor to reduce the pain. Travis is very limited in the activities he can enjoy with his children, and can no longer pick up his 3-year-old son.

 He has undergone treatment including physical therapy, and prescription medications to try and relieve the pain, but nothing has worked.

Recently, through some miraculous circumstances, Travis and his wife April learned of a new laser spine surgery that could fix the damage to Travis's back. It is  available for people who suffer from this kind of  back injury. Consultation with doctors in Arizona showed that Travis is an ideal candidate, and his prognosis for lasting recovery from his back pain with this procedure is VERY good! The bad news came when they were informed that this surgery  is not covered, and they would receive no help from insurance.  The spine surgery is very expensive, and would require Travis and his wife to travel to Arizona, and to miss work for several weeks.

So we reach out to you to for assistance. Even with tremendous support from family and friends, Travis needs your help. Help to return to work. Help to be able to live without excruciating pain. And help to play with his kids and be a Dad again.  This laser surgery may be the only way to give Travis his life back!
