LET'S GET BEHIND THE ROBBIE FAMILY!!!
Northside student Anabella was diagnosed with Leukaemia at the beginning of 2015 and with her precious family has been riding the physical and emotional rollercoaster of this disease until today where she is currently in hospital once again.
Anyone who has seen the effects of cancer will know what a challenging journey this is but the Robbie's have travelled it with grace keeping a positive and thankful attitude in the face of such adversity.
This was a recent update from Anabella's mum Kylie on her Facebook page on Thursday...
Anabella is not doing so well It wasnt a good night last night and today hasnt had any improvements unfortunately. We now have a nurse with us in our room at all times to keep constant obs on her breathing. Poor Anabella has had constant high temps that are not coming down with panadole :( Her heart rate is high and her breathing oxygen levels low. She needs constant high flow oxygen now. She is also vomiting alot and her cough isnt good. She hasnt eaten in 2 days - which really means she isnt feeling good cause she loves to eat!! She has been sleeping a lot this afternoon but is quite distressed when waking due to feeling so sick. The drs seem to think it's either a bad virus on her lungs or the lung infection still which hasnt cleared. As she is too sick to do some tests and still waiting on other results they are treating both with different antibiotics. Please pray for whateva it is that is causing her to feel so sick to start to improve with these medications and an answer to be found too. Nights are often worse....so praying tonight isnt as bad and definitely not worse. But grateful we have a nurse with us and a plan with ICU if we need it. Thankyou for the prayers xx
Despite having to take substantial time off work and having a new baby in this time Graeme's comment to me recently was just about how he wished he had more time to "give back". This generosity of spirit and completely genuine lack of self-pity really touched my heart.
The financial side of this is huge and I feel like the Robbie's could really do with some encouragement to get them through so let's bless them big!
As a community it would be so amazing to come together and let them know that we are behind them and we are still here for them!
Anabella is currently in 3W, her brother Lachlan is in 1H and Kylie is a former Primary teacher at Northside. The Robbie family attend Nexus when they are able.
This is a great opportunity to really support one of our own in our own community so please share this online and verbally as much as you can with whoever you can!
