Meet Abigail. This beautiful baby girl was born to American University alum Melissa Olszewski ('03) her husband Darren on September 9, 2016. Abigail has been in the NICU since birth, spending 2 months in Yale New Haven hospital. She is currently unable to breathe for long periods on her own and faces many challenges. Doctors have been unable to identify the cause.
Melissa recently took Abigail to Boston for a second opinion and has been away from her husband and three year old son. There is presently no timeline. Abigail and her family face uncertainty and challenges ahead.
Please help by alleviating some of the significant financial concerns that come with this situation! Medical expenses and now, travel expenses are building. Thus, I'm asking that we help Melissa, so she and her family can focus on Abigail's progress.
Melissa would never ask for help on her own. Any amount of help is tremendously appreciated!
