Hello, my name is Lauren. I’m 26 years old and have lived in OK all my life. Last year, I had a small lump on my head. I didn’t think much of it but I still went to the dr and they said it didn’t look concerning but it could be removed.
Fast forward to February 26. The bump had grown a lot and was very uncomfortable. I decided to go elsewhere and have it removed. It was sent off for testing.
It came back as a cancer- Pleomorphic liposarcoma. A rare and aggressive cancer. Best news is that removal is the best option and it was removed. However, it does have a chance of reoccurring and I need to still do more tests and scans to make sure it doesn’t spread.
That being said, I am grateful for all the love and support but to be honest even these baby steps have been pricey for me and my husband.
We plan on making trips to Houston so we can go to a cancer center that specializes in my type of cancer. My best hope is we won’t be doing this for long but Creator will take us on the journey we will be on.
I’m an elementary teacher. I love my job. I love my husband, Seth, my dog Jack, my family, especially my niece and nephew. I love OU Sooner softball, DBZ and beading.
Thank you for taking your time to read this. I appreciate your donation, prayer, support and positivity my way.
