This is the precious family of my good friend Alaa. They lived in Gaza city before the carpet bombing began and they fled to Rafah. By just November 2023 the equivalent of two nuclear bombs had been dropped on the Gaza strip. Now in June over 70,000 tonnes of bombs have been dropped.

Alaa’s niece Kenzie, four years old, is one of the 8 children you can see in the cover photo and video below. She misses her family house; she brought some toys but now she just wants a warm jacket.

My family is safe and cozy, but Alaa’s family is now in a tent on the roadside. Alaa’s family house was finally bombed on Sunday 18th February and now they have nothing left to go back to. All their savings are gone. People across Gaza are now slowly starving.

Running for their lives with little food and little sleep, bombs dropping almost every night for months. They now live in a tent in what truly is a concentration camp. No place is safe. All "safe-zones" have been bombed during this genocide.

Alaa’s cousin was killed, he looked so much like him. So many of his friends have been killed and whole family surnames no longer exist! Our faith in God's plan helps us bear the sorrow we feel everyday.

At this point it’s about survival. There are 12 immediate family members

Money will be sent to the operational Western Union in Rafah. Our priority is to get the family out of danger - bombs have already been dropped on people in tents in Rafah.
