Help Erin Fund a M.P.A. at Harvard
Donation protected

Erin has helped to feed thousands of individuals in need, one sandwich at a time. Now, we want to help HER achieve her dream, one dollar at a time! Let's donate one dollar for every hungry person that Erin's fed in NYC!
Our dear friend Erin Dinan was accepted into a Master’s Program this Fall at Harvard University! She will pursue a Masters of Public Administration at the internationally renowned Kennedy School of Government. With her natural gift of compassion and empathy, she is courageously leaping forward to learn and make an even bigger difference, than she already has with One Sandwich at A Time , in international poverty and human rights.
Let’s help her do this! The program is extremely expensive- so expensive that Erin thought about turning this offer down. We want to help her attend this graduate program free of loans so she can graduate and do the work she wants to. She has selflessly devoted her time and life to aid thousands of hungry and homeless New Yorkers and now, we want to help HER!
ERIN'S STORY: Three years ago, Erin began distributing sandwiches to hungry New Yorkers that were living on the streets and fighting each day for survival. These individuals lived each day without knowing where their next meal would come from. Erin, affected by the enormous amount of homelessness in the city, asked herself what she could do, and the answer was simple: “I will help another human being make it to their next meal.” Because as Erin sees it, “We are all connected. We have two hands; one to help ourselves and the other to help others.” So Erin embarked on a journey of distributing sandwiches to those in need, simply and silently connecting with each person. If they were willing to share their story, Erin would sit with them and listen, and when we say listen, we really mean listen.
Her friends supported her project and shortly thereafter, the mission turned into a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, One Sandwich at a Time, Inc.. The mission spread and it was beautiful! Three years later, this organization has fed over 50,000 individuals in need. She and her team have distributed clothing, water and sandwiches to victims of Hurricane Sandy. They have visited multiple schools, speaking about, teaching and inspiring our next generations to fight hunger. They have partnered with corporations, working together on team building workshops; educating the truth about homelessness in our city and also spreading the mission that change is possible.
Here’s the kicker: Erin does not take a salary from this exhausting and time consuming mission. She has a full-time job. She does it because it is her passion. She sees something in these individuals, realizes their potential and has endeavored to help those in need. She knows that sometimes all we need is to know that someone cares. She has created a forum through her efforts for thousands of volunteers to help.
We want to help Erin pay for Harvard so she does not graduate 100K dollars in debt and because we believe in her, and she believes in so many. So now, we want to thank her for her years of service and dedication and help her achieve her dream to help others!
