Help Me Say Goodbye To My Best Friend
Donation protected
"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."
I bought Robin when she was just a few weeks old, and right there and then, I knew she was exactly what my heart needed. We shared a bond that went beyond words. Every glance, every moment spent together, was filled with a deep mutual understanding of the love we had for one another.
After 6 loving years, that time is about to be cut short.
I named her Robin in memory of my aunt Robin who passed away from a strikingly similar form of aggressive cancer. Now, my dog Robin is now facing the same destiny as my aunt, as both will go down as being diagnosed and passing from the same kind of cancer, both far to young in their lives.
Robin has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of mast cell cancer in her pre-scapular lymph nodes. Despite surgery to remove the tumors and the annual $12,000 chemotherapy treatments, the doctors give her only a few months to a year to live.
The costs and the severity of her condition are overwhelming, but I have no choice but to watch and love Robin for as long as I can until she goes. Every moment we have left will be about creating lasting memories.
I understand if you decide not to contribute; for some, Robin is just another dog in this world, but to me, she is my world—shes my best friend and my heart’s deepest companion and it hurts everyday knowing my time with her will be cut short.
If you decide to, any amount is deeply appreciated as it will go towards her medical bills, quality of life treatments, and eventually, her passing when the time comes. Even just spending time with her would mean the world to me, and especially her. Just like my aunt, Robin loves people and I will miss her dearly.
Thank you
