My daughter Dorothy is a dynamic, powerful professional who rose in her profession and, four years ago, took a leap of faith to start her own company, empowering women to learn how to take the steps necessary to have the career or business they want, with the money and advancement their talent deserves, while keeping their integrity, and their personal life. 

But two years ago, she was struck with a hard-to-diagnose illness that knocked her for a loop. 

By the time her doctors finally got it diagnosed, she was told she wouldn’t get past it. It's an uncommon bronchitis that's nothing like the normal kind. It's very hard and long to kick, if you even can.

But she's a fighter, and disciplined. She beat it by doing exactly what he said. It was long, miserable, and only one high-level antibiotic had even a chance at getting rid of it, "Toby" and if you haven't heard of it, that's a good thing.  

She didn't complain. She was grateful for a shot at being healthy again.

Insurance didn’t cover that expensive medicine for any of the 6 months she had to take it. It stole her voice, that most essential thing speaker/trainers must, must have.

Now she's past it, healthy and building stamina daily. The follow-up meds are healing her once-weak lungs. She's so much better. That med is expensive, and like the first, not covered by insurance.

Dorothy’s loved by her family. She's a loving mom to Stefan and Simone, a mother in law, and an almost mother-in-law.

She's daughter to Jean (Grammy), who lives with her. They garden, vote and take fun pics together. She's been there for her family and they have been her Rock through this tough journey.


A vital member of our community, she's brought nationally recognized speakers to our town, helped City Council candidates win, and coached local businesses and career women to greater success and more.
