BACKGROUND
In 1990, Don Noray was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy, a debilitating disease that gradually weakens one's muscles. Unfortunately, there is no cure for this disease. Through the the past 34 years, Don has gone from being in military service in top shape to being wheelchair-bound, unable to do simple tasks that we take for granted such as eating or getting dressed.

Despite suffering with physical disease, Don has a great spirit and is one of the kindest people I know. Instead of considering himself a victim of his condition, he has pushed himself to pursue graphic design and web development, striving to support himself financially. He lives in his own apartment where he spends his time practicing graphic design and building websites for freelance work.
Although Don has constantly struggled with muscular dystrophy, he has been surrounded by a tremendous support group of his family, friends, and church. Don has been blessed with many that volunteer their time and efforts to clean, cook, and help him on a weekly basis.
DON NEEDS YOUR HELP
Over the past few years, Don’s health has declined. He now deals with circulation, GI, and heart issues as a result.
He is in need of a new power wheelchair. The amount we are able to raise will determine the exact chair, but a new standing chair will greatly help his physical health.
The benefits of a standing power wheelchair:
* Makes breathing easier
* Enhances blood circulation
* Relieves pressure on the body
* Provides independence to accomplish daily tasks
Check out the two chair types below.
Permobil F5 Corpus Wheelchair

STRETCH GOAL - Permobil F5 Corpus VS Standing Wheelchair

DON'S CURRENT STATUS
Don cannot afford such a great expense, and he does not have insurance. In the past, he has received assistance through the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), but recent budget cuts have eliminated this option for Don.
His current chair had not been working well this past year. Chair technicians have repaired what they could but advised him that it didn’t have much life left in it. Most chairs like his have a lifespan of 5 years. After nearly 15 years of constant use, Don’s chair stopped working this past Sunday.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Your generosity will be put towards purchasing Don a new chair. If we reach our goal of $32,320, we have set a STRETCH GOAL for a standing chair that would benefit Don’s health even more.
Please give what you can - every little bit helps!
If you are unable to give, please share this campaign with friends. #ChairForDon
THANK YOU for considering this worthy project.
