Desiree: to know her is to love her. She is the first person to empathize, show up, and care for her friends and acquaintances. Now it's time for us to show up for her.
Desiree was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer several months ago. Since her diagnosis she has worked tirelessly to create a new path of health and well-being in her own life: eliminating toxic stressors, becoming a vegan, and undergoing a rigorous protocol of strict dietary and wellness regimes that are EXTREMELY time intensive.
Desiree's medical care options are limited, and she is finding that many of the treatments that could make her well, are not covered by her insurance provider. As a single mom of three, a full time teacher, and a leader of her team at work, she is stretched thin for time- add battling cancer into that scenario and you can imagine how frustrating she must feel being so limited by what she is able to do to heal herself!
Desiree is a warrior. She has taken the diagnosis she received months ago and immediately began fighting. However, her options and tools in this battle are limited. This is where we, as her community come in.
Time is of the essence.
Desiree needs funding for diagnostics, specialists, and medical professionals asap. Her doctor has given her a protocol for alternative therapies that she has worked non-stop to implement but finances are a deterrent to receiving many of these therapies on a regular basis.
Every contribution helps. That said, please consider the impact that Desiree has had on the lives of so many children and families.
