In 1987, my 40 year old Mom lost her battle to Breast Cancer. She was broken hearted to leave her 9 year old daughter and 3 year old son behind. Endless rounds of chemotherapy could not stop the disease from taking her life.
I was blessed to have another chance at being raised by a second wonderful loving mother, who cared for me as if I was her own.
I met my mother Dawn, when I was only 5 years old. She was an angel sent from heaven.
She was always there for me; a constant loving and supportive force in my life.
Dawn, a registered nurse, has been in the medical profession for over 30 yrs. She even
taught classes on chemotherapy.
However, after seeing the devastating effects the chemo had on my birth-mother and her own mother as well, she made a promise to herself that if she were ever stricken with this disease, she would always choose quality of life, including alternative medical options.
She always dedicated her entire life and career to helping others “fight for their lives”.
In March 2012, Dawn, mother of 3, was diagnosed with Lobular Breast Cancer; a very rare type of Cancer which is extremely hard and difficult to detect.
Courageously, she continued saving lives, working as a full time nurse even when she was close to Stage 4 Cancer, because that is what she loved to do.
In the fall of 2014 Dawn had no choice but to retire from nursing in order to fight for her own life and try to beat her own Cancer on a full time basis.
She underwent a double mastectomy and dedicated her lifestyle to nothing but an alternative and holistic treatments....
She was very successful with her alternative therapies and dedicated herself morning / noon and night,
to find the latest alternative studies.
For a while, Dawn made great improvements with her Cancer Markers, which kept her positive in her search for more alternative ways to fight this horrendous disease.
Dawns Cancer eventually spread to her cervix, bones and liver. But she has never given up her will to live.
Sadly, my Mom and Dad have drained all of their retirement in order to pay for all of their medical bills,
insurance and alternative therapies.
Unfortunately she stopped her Alternative Shots, and Holistic Medicine because they ran out of money.
Even her diet has been compromised due to the very expensive costs of eating all Organic Foods.
A couple of weeks ago we found out that her Cancer has spread more aggressively throughout her body and now into her spine, risking her spinal cord and causing her excruciating pain.
Besides the unexpected Cancer and all the terrible symptoms that come along with this, there even greater pain at the thought of leaving her family behind. One of her main concerns is the tremendous stress and sadness of all the medical bills and outstanding debts that are overwhelming the family. I feel helpless because this is taking her focus from her fight to live.
There are a some very good alternative medicine and/or integrative holistic treatments that she wants to do, and has done in the past that really worked. Unfortunately had to stop because of the extremely expensive costs that these alternative therapies are.
My family is drowning with debts and medical expenses. They're entire savings and retirement have been completely depleted and it would not be possible for us to afford it, without your support.
My mother Dawn is too proud to ask anyone for help but she is starting to give up hope.
We need help!
Our goal is to raise 80k which would help cover most of my Mom’s medical expenses, debts and get her back on these Alternative Treatment therapies that proved to work.
If it is not possible, we would be just as grateful if you could please share and pass this message along and say a prayer….Please.
