Help David Reifsteck Fight Cancer
Donation protected
Hi my name is Becky Reifsteck and David Reifsteck is my wonderful husband and father to our 2 sons!
Anyone that knows David knows he is a selfless person. He is a loving and dedicated husband, father, friend and coach. He is the backbone to our family! He gives so much of his time to his family, friends and community. He coaches basketball, soccer and baseball. Being all of those things is his passion! He is one of the best guys in the world. There he is in the picture below coaching basketball even when he's not feeling his best!

On September 6th, 2016 David began passing large amounts of blood, so I took him to the hospital where they admitted him. He ended up losing 3 units of blood. They decided they were going to do a colonscopy on Thursday, September 8th, 2016. On this day our lives were forever changed. The Doctor came in to the room and told me my husband has cancer! What?!?! Cancer? How can that be? He was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer! We were also told he has 2 blood clots in his right lung and if we hadn't came in when we did, that he could have fallen over dead and we wouldn't have known what happened to him. As you can imagine this was so much information to take in on that day. God was definitely watching over him! This is the stuff he had to drink for the colonoscopy! Yuck! But he did it, drank every last drop!

On Monday, Septmeber 19th, 2016 David started Radiation and Chemo Pills that he will have to do Monday-Friday for 5 weeks and then he will go in for a major surgery and then he will do 16 weeks of IV Chemo and then he will have a reconnection surgery.
Since starting the radiation and chemo pills David has had more sick days than good days. David will not be able to work during this journey that we are on. Anyone that knows us knows we don't like to ask for help. We are just very independent people, but I think this is one of the lessons God is teaching us in this journey and that is that we need to ask for help financially, emotionally and physically. Please know that every donation of any size will help us during this trying time. It will take the financial stress and worry off of David so that he can just focus on kicking cancers butt and getting better! We know that not everyone has money to donate, so we ask for the #1 thing and that is your prayers! Prayers are powerful and priceless! We will not be able to express the gratitude we feel for your prayers and/or donations!
We know God is with us and guiding us through this journey. We also feel the love and prayers flowing in from all of you. God bless all those that are going through hardships in life, and all of those that are helping support those in need. Thank you for everything you do and know we appreciate it more than words can ever say.
This gofundme account is a continuation of the one our wonderful niece Morgan started for us. I am managing it now, so I can give everyone updates. Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated!
God bless you all and with lots of love,
The Reifsteck Family
