Help needed to save Dave's life NOW

Donation protected

Update on DAVE.......he has once again been hospitalized in Boise, Idaho....when he was checked on he  didn't even have the energy to help himself to the car so one of the neighbors was nice enough to pick him up and put DAVE in the car and ride with my Mom to the local hospital...... come to find out his blood sugar was 1100....he should of been in a coma.....somehow he keeps fighting...

Please show your Support and fight  with DAVE to receive  the medical help that is needed for his last chance for a Kidney and Pancreas double transplant.

DAVE has been waiting for over 30 years for this second chance at life without needles and daily shots. He has had to overcome so many obstacles just in his daily life, things that we take for granted. He has been on a Kidney/Pancreas double transplant list for over a year now, with many complications along the way.

DAVE's illness began around the age of 5. This was followed with his life scheduled around many tests, doctors and hospital visits. He was NOT able too enjoy life as a little boy should because he would often have severe headaches that resulted in him vomiting. This continued to the age of 10, when he was finally diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Dave's father, who was a Marine and a Vietnam Veteran, and his grandfather also passed away from complications from diabetes.

Over the last year, DAVE's health has deteriorated quickly. He was diagnosed with level 5 Kidney failure, which requires daily dialysis for the rest of his life. He also had to have open heart surgery last summer.

Despite all DAVE has had to endure and overcome, he keeps a positive attitude and doesn't complain or ask "Why Me," because he says that there are people with more challenges than himself and is the kind of person who is happy to help anyone in need.

DAVE has 3 children and is looking forward to being  a grandpa for the first time in September. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He also has a tremendous passion for music, where he sings, plays guitar and writes his own music. He is looking forward to a time when he can continue his passion without these daily struggles.

The cost for a double transplant such as this is staggering. We have been given an estimate of up to One million dollars and that does not include the anti-rejection drugs, which could be as high as $1700 monthly or other medications that he will need for the rest of his life. There are also travel expenses such as: flights, hotels, gas and meals. These expenses have increased greatly due to the fact that we have had to travel to Utah twice in the last few months to receive this life saving transplant but were unsuccessful. This traveling has also meant that DAVE's single mother, and other relatives have had to take unpaid time off from work.

So your contribution literally could mean LIFE or death for DAVE.
On behalf of DAVE's family, please accept our heartfelt appreciation for any and all donations, even if it is just a prayer and positive thoughts for DAVE and his family.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read DAVE's story and we hope you will consider making a small contribution for his second chance at life.
Sadly Dave passed away Dec. 8, 2016....and the family is in dire need of funds for his funeral... Any amount helps us... Thank you for all your support!
