I write this letter more about possibility, rather than with limitation. This campaign may resonate with some but not everyone and I understand that.
Who am I
First off who am I, my name is Dan and I am 38 years old and have been dealing with health issues all my life. I have been unable to practice chiropractic over the last few years with any consistency without my symptoms getting in the way. Not until about 2 years ago did I finally confirm from a lab called Igenex that I tested positive for Borrelia and Bartonella which are two types of infection that are part of the Lyme Disease complex . Among my lengthly list of health ailments, I now have confirmation that a lot of it stems from this bacterial born disease. Fatigue is the main thing I struggle with on a day to day basis but there are other things that have affected me over the years. The belief is that have been dealing with Lyme for over 20 years now but the time length could be even longer.
Background
To get proper diagnosis/treatment in North America can be very contentious at best. If you'd like to know more about this disease and how it can affect someone's life, you can read about it here . Obviously the struggles of Lyme come at both significant financial and personal cost. In Ontario, Canada the healthcare system offers no aid to chronic Lyme suffers such as myself. This has forced me to look around the world for treatment especially someone in a chronic state such as mine. I have discovered some of the latest technology to repair my body after several years of infectious breakdown. This has lead me to consult with a German clinic called Medi Green in Otzberg, Germany.
Treatment
After some deep discussion with my doctors, family and close friends this clinic offers me a chance to boost my stem cell count. This includes a rigorous protocol (of IV's and injections) over 3 weeks in Germany that will allow my immune system to thrive. I have been dealing with Lyme for many years now and this type of treatment has a great potential to reverse the damage.

The funds I raise will go towards:
1. Treatment fees at the Medi Green Clinic
2. Travel expenses
3. Living accomodations for 3 weeks in Darmstadt Germany.
The goal is to raise the money to cover these costs, as my health costs over the last few years have been significant.
I am asking for a minimum of $13!!
