Their power is expected to be out for several months as they don't have a lot of resources on the island. The very modest living situations of the people of St Thomas are being destroyed while we are safe in our homes enjoying all the comforts of modern living. To attempt to get off island earlier this week was impossible for most locals since airlines increased tickets prices by thousands of dollars.
Let's be the kind of humans we're supposed to be and help these people in recovering from the most catastrophic event of their lives.
This money will go to my sister, Courtney, who plans on using it to help her friends and family and others on the island who will not get help from the other nationwide donations. She will be helping supply debris removal, water & food supplies, general clean up and reconstruction of home windows, doors and whatever else she is able to do.
Please help if you can. Every little bit counts. Thank you and God bless you.
