Charlene McDonald, owner/trainer at Quarter Ridge Farm in Westborough, MA, has been a well known and respected member of the New England horse community for over 35 years. Scores of children, adults, and those with special needs, have learned to ride with Charlene. An experienced horsewoman and a wonderful teacher, she has guided many of her students from their first ride on horseback to winning championships in the show ring. Her dedication to her profession is reflected every day in the beautiful condition of the horses under her care and the skill of her students.
Charlene was diagnosed in May 2018 with bladder cancer. With the help of devoted friends, Charlene continues to care for her horses and support her students even as she undergoes chemotherapy. She faces major surgery in August, and her prognosis is uncertain. She needs help to pay for her growing mountain of medical bills.
Charlene has given so much to her students, clients, and her many friends. Please help her in her battle against this terrible disease. Her fund raising goal is large given the seriousness of her illness. Please know that every contribution, no matter its size, is needed and much appreciated.
