Hi my name is Caroline and I'm fundraising for my friend Jess!

Imagine not only battling a chronic illness with life-threatening complications, but also facing total financial ruin as a result of trying to cope with overwhelming medical bills, with the potential solution to your illness being totally out of reach. Already burdened with a massive £10,000 - £15,000 medical bill each year, the solution to Jess' complex medical needs is Hyperbaric Therapy, which costs in the region of £11,000. They receive NO NHS or other medical support and this is totally out of their reach.

JESS' STORY

Jess is battling severe, late-stage Lyme disease that was misdiagnosed and mistreated for years. As a result, she is severely debilitated and is finding it difficult to function. She cannot go out in public, and lives a life secluded to protect her immune system to prevent massive allergic reactions to even the most basic household items. Most of the time these days she is struggling with incredible pain and flare ups. She is a devoted mum of two, a wife, and a passionate supporter of others, despite her own suffering.

Her condition has caused extreme neurological, immune, and physical complications, including:

• Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS)

• Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS)

• Severe cognitive and neurological issues

A chronic illness with life-threatening complications,

NHS testing and treatment failed to address her illness, leaving Jess to fund private treatment costing a massive £10–15K per year. Her family is financially and emotionally overwhelmed

The treatment she is on is not fully eradicating the infection and bringing the healing needed. Constantly battling chronic fatigue, pain and neurological issues, she and her husband heard about a promising treatment called Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy - HBOT, which would change her life.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is not available on the NHS and costs approximately £11k for a home unit. HBOT has been shown to significantly help people with chronic Lyme disease by killing bacteria, reducing inflammation, restoring brain function, and promoting healing.

This could give Jess her life back. If there’s even a glimmer of hope that this therapy could restore her health, it’s worth everything—for Jess, and for the family who longs to see her truly live again.
