Cat-Mags needs help!
Donation protected
I'm reaching out & asking for help which isn't something I like to do. Today 2/17/16 my cat Mags fell off the balcony from my second story apartment. I let my cats hang out on the balcony because they have never attempted this & I never had a problem. I am currently moving & I had the balcony door cracked open because I was painting/retouching the walls. I finished after about 2 hours of retouching the walls and notice she wasn't around the apartment which I then began to search for her. After realizing she was not in my apartment, I freaked out & I went searching for her outside.
After an hour & half I finally heard her meowing. Mags was in the maintenance room which is directly under my apartment. I then notice there was a missing brick, where she climbed through to get in the room. I contacted my complex and they sent someone out to open the door. We found her, I was so relieved & balling my eyes out.
Yes my cats are my babies and if you're friends with me or follow me on social media you already know that.
When we got back into my place I let Mags go but then I realized she was walking with her back leg up & not putting it down at all. I picked her up and her leg was extremely swollen and painful to the touch. I then rushed her to VSEC, the animal emergency hospital in Langhorne PA.
Soon as I got to VSEC they took her back to examine her & she has X-rays done. They found that she a bad break. Her back leg is broken in multiple places. I was given 3 options
1. Surgery to repair
2. Leg amputation
3. Put her down
I don't like to ask for help or money from anyone. But I'm currently in a bad spot. I just had Mags at the vet last week to be spayed & to get her shots. I wasn't expecting this to happen at all. She's 10 months old and I just can't walk away. BUT I'm embarrassed to say I can't cover this emergency vet bill & I just can't let Mags go without any treatment.
Today's visit alone was $600 & I'm looking at $4,500 bill all together. Mags needs pain medication, several weekly visits, progress X-rays & follow ups as well. I'm completely lost. I would like to be able to help her, so this is me reaching out. I honesty don't know what else to do. I'm so very grateful to anyone that can donate. Thank you for donating & sharing.
