Hey Uintah Basin Oiler fans, you all know Carl Dieckman! Well at Saturday's game Carl suffered a severe compound fracture in his left leg. It was the best game that Carl has played, he had just a little over 80 yards rushing the ball and 6 complete tackles. He helped the team for a win 41-0. He was taken by ambulance to a near by hospital and there they performed emergency surgery to fix the break. Sunday morning as the team prepared to head home Carl was discharged, so as a team they headed over to the hospital to get Carl out. We were about 90 miles outside of Ogden when Carl told us that he couldn't feel or wiggle his toes anymore and that he wanted to be taken to a hospital because the pain was excrutiating. We learned that Carl had Compartment Syndrome and he was rushed in for two additional surgeries in order to save his leg. As a fan of the Uintah Basin Oilers I'm reaching out to our community to help Carl with some of the medical cost. All season, every season Carl goes out to every game representing The Basin and gives it his all. So let's show him our support and help with what we can.
