URGENT: Help Mila "Cain" With Medical Crisis and Eviction

Donation protected
EDIT: Hey, this is Mila, and I still need help.. Funds are gone but have all been spent wisely - docs appts, etc, I am still homeless (paid rent til August or so on friends' floor in New Orleans - thank you both sm and everyone who funded that trip). I am still sick (though doing better! I can like really go out now instead of laying on the floor motionless for days and am wanting to create again lol) very much in need - thank you to those who have contributed so far, because of you i saw multiple docs (seeing one today too) and got a UHaul to New Orleans. Birthday very soon as well. i am sorry for disappearing, I tried to write an update and I sounded crazy and I'm done w sounding crazy. I just want to get out of this hole I've been in for years and the ONLY way out is through community - I have been in survival mode for years, I just had too much pride to beg then. I still hate it now. Obligatory "I am not entitled to your money" disclaimer. Funds are gone but have all been spent wisely. have paid rent (I'm on my friends' floor! Very grateful to them for everything) I just want to let EMERGENCY.. Mila/Cain is 27 and too sick to stand and in need of a car and rent. She is homeless on the street on JUNE 20TH if she does not have $2200 - help her pay rent, handle medical costs, and get a vehicle / save to move, and take care of herself. Continued donations will go toward helping her to stabilize.

Hi.This is Thorn (chthonicthorns etc). Many of you know my cousin Cain (tt @pharmakos / insta @traumajockey) - my best friend since childhood, the artist behind my merch designs, my ritual partner, and the one person who's been there to drive me to the hospital in the past; she is now the one fighting for her life against a system designed to kill her. (Cain's also bi is 2!s- happy Pride month!)

Cain has many times literally saved my life during medical emergencies. Right now, she's in a fight for survival against systems designed to fail people like her. I need your help to keep her alive - please help and share, this is a medical emergency.

Why all the rest? **Transportation and relocation and consistent medical care to guarantee her continued safety**. Cain is about to be evicted after years of battling homelessness and drug addiction, experiencing such intense trauma that she has developed complex post traumatic stress disorder. She is a also a Native woman and having a medical crisis too sick to leave the bed most days. I fear for her safety in the USA right now, especially as she is at the mercy of the healthcare system - she will be facing horrendous threats to her life, health and liberty. The mentally ill, drug addicts, and Native Americans have already been threatened with placement into internment camps. Abortions are illegal in her home state - this is serious. **She needs at least $2,200 by June 20th to avoid the street and anything else they might dream up.

After years of being dismissed by doctors for how she looks and her status as an ex addict, she also hopes this will force doctors to open their eyes regarding her preexisting conditions: people do not get this illness unless they have weak immune systems, and she has been getting sicker and sicker for months. It is rare she spends more than an hour a day even sitting upright; only recently has she really started walking around again. Hopefully, she says, this obvious physical illness will mean she will be taken more seriously and seen more often regarding immune system, thyroid, and her neck injury, which caused her chronic pain + her other chronic illness, even though it was diagnosed, because of these developments, Cain is also being assessed for problems with her immune system and has another chronic condition which needs way more monitoring than it gets.

(Recent photo of her face before the condition).

Cain has been diagnosed with a severe systemic condition requiring immediate treatment. It is destroying her face, eyes, and muscles. The medications she needs are very strong and absolutely necessary to her continued survival, yet she's being forced to ration them because she's uninsured.

Again, she has until **June 20th to come up with $2,200** in back rent or face eviction - while she's literally too weak to stand for long periods.

I've witnessed Cain:
- Drive me to emergency rooms when no one else would
- Design incredible artwork through chronic pain flares
- Survive homelessness, trafficking, cults, torture, sex work, and medical neglect
This time, she can't muscle through alone.

Cain has helped me so much over the years with my branding and was an integral help behind the scenes work it took to make me, "me" online. She is, as I said, my ritual partner and made the introduction between myself and King Paimon! She is my birth cousin on my Native side and the person who’s saved me more times than I can count.

Now, at 27, she’s facing medical negligence, homelessness, and a progressive illness was being ignored by doctors and shrugged off at home, where a break from rent is absolutely necessary Her appointment has been put off until the 10th of June - and that is not the imaging she needs, only the first specialist VISIT.

She’s uninsured, bedbound, and rationing meds that cost more than her rent. **This isn’t hyperbole: if she doesn’t get housing and treatment ASAP, she will almost certainly die, and she will certainly lose everything.** She has no vehicle to even load up and drive away and no savings; she is screwed.

We are fundraising to:
- **Cover rent and backpay** ($2,200 by June 20th).
- **Pay for urgent medical care** (specialist visits, meds, potential surgery).
- **Secure basics**: food, phone bill, a vehicle, a working computer to freelance.
- **Buy time and a vehicle** to relocate elsewhere - likely to the Netherlands, where I can ensure she gets care.
- **A little spending money** because this girl has not had a cent to spend in years at this point.
- **My (Thorn’s) Visa application (and Cain’s later on)**. If we make an excess of donations this month some of the excess will come my way to prevent my own crisis (since I spent everything and more to get here - there are so many fees I was unaware of! This is ONLY if we FAR surpass the 2200 goal, and this was Cain’s idea and is with her permission ofc,

Cain was barely making it as is, and now all of this. She’s a survivor, an artist, and someone who’s fought harder than anyone I know. **Don’t let bureaucracy and cruelty be what kills her..**

3. **$800** for basic survival (food, phone bill, transportation to appointments)

**From Cain:**

I never wanted to write this. At 27, I should be creating art, not begging the internet to survive. But here's the brutal reality:

**Housing:**
I was served a 30-day notice on May 20th. My roommates - who borrow my protest gear while leaving me behind - won't budge despite knowing I've been bedbound with:
- Unexplained facial lesions
- Seizure-like episodes
- Fatigue so severe I can't sit upright to work

**Medical:**
After months of ER visits where doctors dismissed me because of how I look, I finally have:
- A tentative diagnosis (though I'm keeping details private)
- A June 10th specialist appointment that could save my life
- Medications that cost more than my entire monthly income

**Why This Can't Wait:**
- The condition is progressive - every day without proper treatment causes more damage
- Homelessness would be deadly in my state (I've lived in my car before - I can't do it while this sick)
- I'm THIS CLOSE to stability if I can just bridge this gap …

**What Your Support Enables:**
1. **Emergency Stability:**
- Rent payment to buy time
- Medical care to stop the progression
- Basics like food and phone (critical for telehealth appointments)

2. **Rebuilding Foundations:**
- Computer repairs to resume freelance design work
- Art supplies to create sellable merchandise
- Vehicle fund (to reach appointments and eventually relocate)

3. **Future Planning:**
- Potential move to the Netherlands where Thorn can help me access better care
- Proper business setup so I'm not back here again

**How to Help:**
- **Donate via:**
CashApp: $anoxia
Venmo: @lobotomy
PayPal: accepted here or via Ko-Fi
Crypto: Ask her via her tiktok or
- **Share widely** - even if you can't give
- **Connect us** with Texas/Michigan medical or housing resources

**Transparency:**
Please, do not ask me about my conditions or life; I am fielding a ton of questions already and a lot of this stuff I live or relive every day as it is, lol; please respect my wishes on this by respecting me, and vice versa. This illness is violating enough. I'll post redacted medical documents to verify my situation. While I'm keeping my diagnosis private and have waited so long to post out to retain what little remains of my dignity, I will say this: without treatment, doctors estimate I have months, not years.

---

**Final Note from Thorn:**

Cain has been the person who shows up when everyone else ghosts. Now she needs us. If you've ever benefited from her art, her humor, or her resilience - and if you’ve benefited from any of my content, you almost certainly have - please consider giving. No amount is too small or too large when the alternative is watching someone brilliant drown in plain sight.
