Brandy Williams- a dedicated mother, wife, daughter, sister, realtor, and friend- has been diagnosed with Triple Positive Stage 3 Breast Cancer. Brandy has been married to Kevin, the love of her life, for 20 years. They have 3 beautiful children, ages 5, 14, and 23. Brandy's family is her entire world. To know Brandy is to love her. She is hilarious, loving, generous, and full of life. Brandy goes above and beyond for everyone in her life. She is a fantastic realtor to her clients, a giving and supportive friend, a loving wife to Kevin, and an amazing mother to her babies- Peyton, Reese, and Marty.
In just 4 short weeks, her world has been turned upside down. At first she was given a stage 2 diagnosis, but her malignancies have doubled in size and now, she is fighting Stage 3 Triple Positive Breast Cancer. Brandy is currently taking numerous side-effect medications, not including her 6 chemotherapy drugs. With her compromised immune system, she must stay away from germs and keep herself healthy through the chemotherapy. After chemo to shrink the malignancies, she will have surgery to remove the numerous tumors on her breasts and lymph nodes, followed by more chemotherapy and radiation, followed by at least one year of hormone therapy. All of this has already taken a toll on her body by forcing her into early menopause at the age of 46.
Brandy and Kevin had a 2-income household until a few weeks ago. With all of the doctor's appointments and Brandy's exhaustion from her illness and from the chemotherapy, she has been unable to work and she will have to take a huge step back from her work as she continues with her treatment. In addition, Kevin will be taking leave from his work to take care of their kids during this time. The out of pocket cost of her medical expenses, including the chemotherapy medications, procedures, tests, scans, labs, and upcoming surgery, in addition to her family's living expenses, is too much for the family to endure with her lack of income.
