It is with a heavy heart that we share yet another devastating story. Bonnie Buratti (a long time and well-respected member of the JPL family and local community) and her family join the growing list of folks who have lost their entire home to the Eaton wildfire.

Bonnie is a JPL Fellow and senior research scientist and she is currently serving as Deputy Project Scientist for the Europa Clipper Mission. Her impact to the community runs deep through the four decades that she has resided here.

Bonnie and Kai (and cats) escaped from the Eaton wildfire with the clothes on their backs and realized fairly quickly that the approaching fires would destroy their neighborhood and home leaving them with very little as they face this unimaginable loss.

As a friend of Bonnie’s, I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of her and her family to help them with unexpected costs not covered by other aid. All funds will go directly to Bonnie.
