If you are reading this it's probably because you have taken a trip to Israel with Boaz and Magie Shalgi through their company EDI. You know what an incredible guide Boaz is and how he and his company have impacted your life in such a meaningful way. Many of you have asked how they are doing. The answer is: Not well. Because of the atrocities of Hamas on October 7th, not only has there been an incredible loss of life but daily life in Israel has been upended. Companies like Boaz and Magie's are struggling.

So many of us have traveled with EDI and benefited from Boaz's wisdom and faith. Some of you have asked if there's anything you can do for them. In fact, there is; we would like to see if we can raise funds to help support the Shalgi family and their business as they have lost all income from trips that have been planned, not only this fall, but for at least the first quarter of 2024. I have had to cancel a tour I was planning to take with Boaz in March and will likely have to cancel the 2 I have for May and June as well. At this point, I can't even envision trying to roll out a trip for October of 2024 as I was hoping to. This war is likely to last for a while and even if it ends soon, it's hard to imagine groups returning anytime soon. They have lost all sources of income from trips for the foreseeable future.

In light of this, the friends of Boaz, Magie and EDI are starting a GoFundMe. We would like to take a love offering to see if we can raise 70,000 thousand dollars to help the Shalgi's and EDI during this time of tragedy, loss and potential financial ruin. If you feel led to participate all you have to do is click on the GoFundMe link. All money will be donated directly to the Shalgis and EDI. It is our intention to collect donations through Thanksgiving Day November 23rd, 2023. On Monday November 27th, 2023, we will initiate a wire transfer directly to Boaz and Magie. In order to be completely transparent I have solicited the help of 2 CPA's to oversee an audit of all incoming transactions and the outgoing wire transfer.
