Virtual Mana Chamal for Mathuri Tamang
Donation protected
It's so sad that our community member Mathuri Tamang, a resident of 8415 Avery Rd., Rosedale, MD 21237, untimely passed away at 41 on Friday, December 31, 2021, at 4:44 PM.
On January 1, 1980, she was born in Nichula, Dagana, Bhutan, from Lt. Mon Maya Tamang and Lt. Panchay Tamang. She was happily married to Narbu Tamang in 1996. She lived in the Bhutanese refugee Beldangi-2 camp in Nepal for a little close to two decades. She was resettled to Baltimore, Maryland, the United States of America, in August 2011.
Mrs. Tamang lived her final days of life to the fullest in peace and comfort in hospice care in Towson, Maryland. She died of cancer peacefully in her sleep. She was survived by her loving husband Narbu Tamang, caring sons Pema Tamang, Kushal Tamang, Akash Tamang, and parents-in-law.
On Tuesday, January 4, 2022, her funeral customs and viewing were held at Hari P. Close Funeral Service, PA, 5126 Belair Rd., Baltimore, MD 21206, then a funeral procession to Bayview Crematory, 5500 O'Donnell St., Baltimore, MD 21224 for cremation.
The bereaved family members performed final rites on Thursday, January 6, 2022. The cremains burial in Mount Carmel Cemetery, 5712 O'Donnell St., Baltimore, MD 21224, is set for Tuesday, January 11, 2022. The headstone will be placed at the burial site in her loving memory.
Often, the best thing we can offer a grieving family, relative, friend, and or neighbor is our physical presence: a hug, holding a hand, shedding tears together, but this COVID-19 pandemic has made that impossible and not being able to mourn together can add another layer of stress. So many of you have reached out and asked how you can help the mourning family at this challenging time.
Therefore, with consent from the bereaved family, I have created this "Virtual Mana Chamal for Mathuri Tamang" as an alternative for relatives, friends, neighbors, and well-wishers of the deceased and bereaved family who are out-of-state or sick, have a family member or close contact ill from flu, or COVID-19 but still willing to support the grieving family with no physical presence.
This campaign will end at midnight on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Money raised will go directly to the bereaved family, along with a detailed list of donors and proof of transactions. Please consider donating with your complete information, so the family will know where the funds came from. The bereft family will use the funds to retrieve the funeral and rites expenses.
Thank you for joining to support the bereaved family during this difficult time.
