This is a fundraiser for our friend, Bentley Monet, who is an out and proud trans man.. who was recently *APPROVED* for top surgery! Congratulations, Bent!
It will cost him approximately 10k to make this crucial transition happen. We know Bentley would never do this for himself....
So, hello! We're Chelsey and Jenny, and we've been friends with Bentley for over a decade. Today is Bentley's birthday, and we'd love you to join us in raising about half the funds to make this happen!
Imagine having the power to give one person a birthday gift, but see it affect hundreds more!
Let us tell you about our best friend Bentley. This incredible human -- musician, booker, cat dad, activist, tour god, lover of hot sauce (among other things) -- has spent the decade we've known him touching people's lives. He has never hesitated to open his whole heart, head, and never-ending energy to serve his community.
From the AZ music scene to diverse communities he has brought together at shows all over the world, so many people have felt his light and energy. Where Bentley goes, he gives.
I mean, have you *seen* his drumming face!?? Don't forget to check out Bentley's band, Snailmate.
Recently, Bent has given *us* a gift: he's been sharing a deeply personal journey with us all. He saw that sharing his experience could help people.
So ignoring any discomfort to himself, and with tremendous emotional energy, he put his life on the table -- letting us learn, find comfort, and grow right along with him.
