Hey Everyone! I have created this page with the intentions of raising funds to study abroad. Receiving admission to Semester at Sea's, Spring 2014
voyage, has provided me with the once in the lifetime opportunity to sail around the world in just 106 days, visiting 15 cities and 12 countries. I'm sure before anyone donates you'll what to know who I am, why Semester at Sea (SAS), and what I plan to get out of this experience.Well for starters my name is Belinda, I'm a 22 year old student majoring in Illustration and fine arts, at Union County College in Cranford, NJ. What captivated my attention about SAS is their one of a kind teaching method, deeply committing to students success. One of their unique teaching methods are incorporating classroom learning with cultural exploration. The biggest goal I want to accomplish through this experience is to visit orphanages/impoverished villages and volunteer. Understanding that the world and volunteering while promoting global peace are perfectly aligned, it has become my utmost mission to uphold sincere and honest connections with underprivileged youth. Realizing that there is one world, populated with billions of people, who have the same dreams, but different realities has motivated me to impact their lives through evidence that they are not forgotten, promoting that there is means to opportunities despite their conditions. This is something I would like to implement upon these youth so they can succeed in all they do. Clarifying that there is no limit to what you can attain with ongoing, continuous progress towards excellence.
