Barbara Mcvay Urgent Recovery Fund
Our beloved grandmother, Barbra McVay, recently had a nasty fall that shattered her pelvis and fractured her femur. So far, she has had surgery to put pins in her femur and her hip is being held in place temporarily with clips (her hip will need to be replaced). While being treated, she developed internal bleeding, two ulcers in her stomach, and a collapsed lung. She is currently living with family in Mexico, but her health insurance is only good in the United States. Our family has rallied together to help pay for her care in Mexico, but the costs are adding up very quickly.
We are trying to raise enough money to cover the remaining costs and transport her to her doctor in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We have had to pay as we go to get her x-rays, medications, blood transfusions, room, nursing care, physical therapists, surgery, ambulance costs, and more for the last 4 days (including today). The medevac quote is at $15,550 plus the remaining hospital costs. We still need to pay approximately $5,000 more for her continued care in Mexico. This is only an approximation because the exact costs are still undetermined, but the doctors are trying to keep the costs at no more $45,000. In total, we are praying to raise $20,550 as quickly as possible. The longer she is in Mexico, the more expensive her health care will become so please donate anything you can.
All prayers and donations are welcome. Our grandmother means the world to us and we want to do what we can to help her. Thank you for taking the time to listen to our cause. God bless you all ❤.
