As you all know, I work as a technician at a vet hospital. Today this sweet boy presented to our office for an examination following a dog bite wound in the left axilla sustained at approximately 1am on Friday morning. Until today, (insert name here) has not been seen, thus further complicating his condition. The muscle is severely damaged, the limb is infected and he does not appear to have much reflex response, he can not place his foot, pocketing is deep and likely extremely painful as the humerous is also exposed , this poor boys limb is too far gone to be saved.. Our staff collectively decided that this boy was too sweet to be stripped of a second chance. Facing a very tough decision, the owner of this pet made a selfless decision to surrender him in hopes of having him treated. The team decided to raise money to provide the amputation surgery here. This does not mean that surgery is free, surgical procedures involve a lot of staff time, resource and money, my discount is not applied because he is not my personal pet. Us techs are working together to pay out of pocket for any money that can not be raised. However, since this will be a costly procedure. ALL DONATIONS ARE APPRECIATED. I will be keeping this fundraiser open but i will be amputating immediately as long as he is stable for surgery in the morning. I would estimate he is around 6-7 months of age. He will also be neutered if he does well under anesthesia. Thus far he has been VERY sweet and loves it when we pet and talk with him. He is weak, but his eyes light up and he still manages to wag his tail. Please help!
The goal is set to the high end of the surgical estimate - if for any reason any donated money is not used for him specifically i plan to use it for another animal in need. I will deposit it directly into the hospital's private account as a credit. We see A LOT of pets who could utilize it well.
