Imagine getting a bruise and being told by your doctor to immediately go to the Children’s Hospital only to find out that 98% of your bone marrow is cancerous.
Atlas was diagnosed with Leukemia (T-PLL) on April 7th, 2017. A once healthy and fun loving boy is now undergoing round after round of chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and bone marrow surgeries. This wise seven-year-old boy is being fed medications that alter his superior cognitive abilities and easygoing attitude.
From an early age, it was clear to all around him that Atlas was a brilliant child and an old soul. He learned how to read and was engaging in full conversations at one and a half years old. Atlas learned to speak Turkish, his father’s native language, at an early age. He is now seven years old and is interested in subjects such as Quantum Physics and Quantum Mechanics. His wish is to meet Elon Musk.
A once curious boy, is now spending every minute fighting for his life. Atlas continues to undergo chemotherapy weekly and is preparing for a bone marrow surgery this week to determine if the chemotherapy is working.
