#HelpASisterOut ~ The Rutgers Family

My brother-in-law, Jason Rutgers, was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in February and he has spent the last 8 months battling it hard and doing everything he can to fight it. The cancer has metastasized and has now progressed to stage 4. Jason is married to my sister Suzee, who continues to work as a nurse to support the family as they walk this arduous path. They have four amazing boys (Tal 18, Calvin 13, Felix 11 and Koen 8).

If you know Jason, you already love him. But if you don’t, believe me when I tell you he is the very definition of ‘a good human’ if there ever was a worthy one. He is an amazing guy. He’s hardworking, caring, thoughtful and generous with his time and skills. He is altruistic, witty, a great cook, fixer of all things, gentle with animals and a peacemaker. He has adopted, helped and fostered many dogs over the years and is a volunteer with Speak For The Unspoken, a dog rescue that rescues dogs with special needs. Jason and Suzee are currently fostering their 50th dog. He’s loved my sister so well since the day I met him and is an incredible father. He has been a brother to me - the only brother I have. Jason is someone I love and makes the world a better place.

Please help me reach this fundraising goal for the Rutgers Family as they continue to fight this hard battle. The funds will help alleviate medical debt, financial stressors, pay bills, allow them to seek out all treatment options and give them intentional time together as we head into the holiday season. And as always, thank you for your generous love, unwavering support and all the prayers, peace and light you keep bringing. ✨
