Help Armando Out!

Donation protected
Early December of 2017 my brother was picked up by ICE( Immigration Customs Enforcement). My brother Armando  has been in deportation proceedings for about 5 months now. My brother Armando is a DACA recipient( Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). He should NOT be in detention because he has DACA status.

This has been a crazy journey for my mother and I. It's affected me by taking away the only father figure I've had since my biological father isn't in the picture. My mother has not had an easy time coping with the separation of her son. My family has suffered devastating emotional consequences from this. During this journey we discovered that my brother has a mental illness. Something me and my mother least expected from him. He's Schizoaffective. Which is similar to being bipolar. Due to his illness my brother had been relocated 3 times (2 times here in Minnesota and then to South Carolina to receive more "treatment").

The government doesn't care about giving people proper treatment for their REAL illnesses. They can not justify his relocation to another state whereby my family can't visit him when we please. The prison he is at is for profit prison which means that people profit from it. All the government cares about is profiting at the expenses of our rights, and that's NOT okay.

We're a real family dealing with real trauma from this horrible situation. What we are asking is for funds to be able to pay off the lawyer and future expenses we might have with my brother's case. My mom and I are the only ones dealing with this because all of our family members are in Mexico. My mother and I both work 2 jobs to be able to deal with this financial situation. I'm heading off to college as a freshman this fall and your support would relieve a lot of financial burden from my mother and I!

If you can't donate that's okay! We're not the only family in a financial crisis but if you could please just share this that will help too!

- Thank you from my mother and I!
