Anthony was laid to rest at El Toro Memorial Park on January 26, 2017. Rest in Peace, my love! Please watch over Anabelle, your strength will carry on, until we meet again!

I wanted to also thank everyone for their constant prayers, love, well-wishes and donations throughout this difficult time in our lives. Despite the circumstances, I am glad that Anthony is no longer in pain and suffering. We miss him terribly, and we still have many more hurdles in the near future. Please don’t stop praying for us! I want to continue to make God and Anabelle the largest priority in my life, but we most definitely need prayers for strength and comfort for the path ahead of us. God Bless. -Sarah

This is a memorial page for Anthony Villaverde. He was only 32 years old and is the strongest man I have ever known !! He grew up in San Diego, after losing his mom two years before we met, we were both in a difficult spot in our lives, but he helped guide me back to the light. We started going to church and spending every moment we could together. He made me a better person. Even after three months in the Navy, our relationship still prevailed and we eventually got our own place in Reno, where Anabelle was born. A year after living in Reno on our own, with no family or friends. We decided to move back to California to be closer to family, but Anthony wanted to stay in Reno, to help his career. Soon after moving my mom was in a freak accident at work. Even with the distance, we were able to make it work and eventually, Anthony found a great job in Los Angeles and we eventually found our place in Orange County. We only lived there a month before finding out about his illness. After 15 months of fighting, hundreds of hours in the hospital, ER and Dr's appointments. He, unfortunately, had to decide if he wanted to live his life in pain and stay in the hospital or to spend his last Christmas with his family, We may not have had the cleanest house or the nicest car, but we loved each other and we were together to the very end. I so happy that we were able to be married after 6 years. We have a beautiful daughter Anabelle, she will be 4 in April. Our relationship was never picture perfect, but that never stopped us from trying to make it work. No matter what the hurdle was we always ended up together in the end. He spent the last year fighting tooth and nail, but he never gave up! His strength will live on through Anabelle.

Update 11/30/16

Today is one of the happiest days in Anthony's life, he married the love of his life, and mother of his child, Sarah today. Unfortunately, we just found out that he doesn't have much time left with us. This will be the last Christmas that our three-year-old daughter, Anabelle, will have with her daddy. And it breaks my heart, to have to tell everyone that we have lost the 15-month battle. But Anthony still has so much life to live! With getting married now off his bucket list, Anthony is longing to see the Grand Canyon someday very soon, but there doesn't seem to be much hope, because we cannot afford the trip up there, with the never ending issues with his insurance and transportation. We have been trying so hard to make this happen for him, If you are able please pray, share and donate to his cause. So we can continue to make lasting memories for our daughter that will last a lifetime.

Update 11/12/16

Hello all,

This been a year since Anthony was diagnosed with a severe illness. He Started as a full of life father and supporter of his family, then shortly his health began to decline rapidly. We have spent countless hours in and out of the hospital, many tears shed, and prayers said. But we ask you know in our desperate time of need. After a struggling year he received a clean bill of health, but now he has to recover, he's been in recovery for over a year. Now he just needs to gain back the 90 pounds that he lost from treatments and procedures, they want to send him back to work, but he still has recovery to do and weight to gain! Everything is at risk for our family now. Anthony, myself, and our 3-year-old daughter Anabelle. She just wants her daddy to get better, so he can just take her to the park. Anthony has been on disability for less than a year and now it is on hold, his insurance won't approve his formula or medical supplies, and his work is threatening his employment. We ask and pray that you can please help us, (we are not on welfare), but due to this hard year our financial situation has not gotten any better. With his life-changing surgery to fix his throat in the near future, we ask for your many continued prayers and support every day! Without the help from family and friends, we don't know how we would've gotten this far! Thank you so much for your support and for reading. God Bless Anthony, his family, and everyone that has supported us in any way possible and anyone who read this!

Anthony has been sick October 2015, he has had surgery and has been in and out of the hospital. His health has been declining, ever since, He's lost 90 lbs due to his illness. He has been in and out if the hospital since September 2015. We have a little girl that is almost 3, she desperately wants to see her daddy get better. We are overwhelmed with medical bills. He is the sole provider for our family. We really appreciate your prayers and anything that you can donate. Thank you so much! God bless.
