Help Diesel get his leg amputation surgery
Donation protected
It’s with heavy hearts this is written, as this weekend we had to put down our beloved old man, Oakley. Oakley had severe problems with his liver that we were originally told he would only be able to live a month at the beginning of the year. With the right loving vet, a home that spoiled him and gave copious amounts of love (and treats) he pushed through to the very end of summer; very happy and smiling down to the very end. We had found the perfect vet specialist about an hour and a half way, we took Oakley weekly and used up large amounts of savings and credit card bills to get him checked and get the never ending amounts of medication that helped stabilize our tootsie roll. With that being said, we both would do that again in a heart beat because Oakley wasn’t just our pet dog, he was family and we know he would do just the same for us. Oakley had lots of fight and love in him that we see in his 6 years old rottie brother. Also at the beginning of the year his rottie brother Diesel started to limp so he was taken to the vet and we found out he had bone cancer. The decision was made not to amputate his leg since he was estimated to only live 6 months. 6 months later he is still happy as can be, however his leg keeps getting bigger causing him large amounts of pain. He was taken to the vet this week and we found out against all odds it had not spread anywhere so we are hoping to schedule surgery to get it amputated so our big bear can heal fast and be able to run around chasing the ball with his fat happy brother Bravo. We know that Diesel has the same fight and love in him that our sweet Oakley had and firmly believe doing this will give him more happy years dreaming about chasing water, eating treats, and being the cutest 3 legged dog out there.
We thank you all in advance for sharing and donating as we are humbly asking for help in getting Diesel the surgery he needs.
If it is more convenient to Venmo we have put them down below:
