Hello everyone,

My name is Akesha, I am 37 years old and I reside in the United States, specifically in the DC Metropolitan Area. I am raising money to assist two of my cousins in Jamaica, who've had severe damages (lost the roof and their belongings) to their homes during Hurricane Melissa. These family members are currently residing with family and supportive friends/neighbors. They are eager to get back into their own spaces and resume life as it once was.

I am asking for donations to aid them in the rebuilding process. The funds will be used to help with the costs of construction materials such as, cement blocks, wood, roofing and obtaining basic household appliances. All monies raised will be equally distributed amongst these two households. All of the proceeds will go solely to these two families.

If you are unable to donate due to financial hardship or any other challenges, we understand. However, we are asking that you please share the link with your friends and family. Thank you for your help in achieving our fundraising goal. No donation is too small and we appreciate your donation, regardless of the amount. Again, thank you for helping us reach our $6,000 goal!
